Working with extremely tight budgets to achieve maximum impact, we took a range of approaches with my five videos for Leoni Jane Kennedy, but built them all around central performances by her as the star. This hopefully grounds each video and successfully introduces her as a performer as these releases are all from her first album, 'Synthetic'.

DIFFERENT KIND OF WOMAN
For Leoni's first full music video, we had to define her aesthetic and establish her as an artist. The result is 'Different Kind of Woman', a visual ode to both dark fantasy and classic rock!
CLOSER
My second collaboration with Leoni was an interesting one as the song was all about isolation in the 2020 Covid lockdowns, so we shot the whole thing in her bedroom, just the two of us, like we would have done had we been making it at the time the song is set.
The result is intimate and personal, but still allows room for some trippy psychedelics and an appropriate level of wigging out on guitar!
JESSE
Shot on the same day as our video for 'Closer', Leoni and I kept it simple for video number 3, focusing on a primarily documentary approach. I had the opportunity to see her friendship with Jesse (about whom the song was written) up close and capture this with a home movie aesthetic.
The video was featured on Prog magazine's website and the song won their coveted Track of the Week award on the 20th June 2025!

'Sloe' feels like a simple video but was the most complex of the five to pull off with its several set-ups, both exterior and interior shooting and multiple cameras rolling to capture us completely ruining Leoni's white suit with bright red paint,
